Affidavit: Fort Lupton woman supplied beer to daughters, dozens of underage kids
This article in this week’s Greeley Tribune serves as an important reminder to parents—and adults—about providing alcohol to underage youth, including your own kids. A Ft. Lupton mom is now facing felony charges for providing her daughters and friends with alcohol—including several under age 16. What many don’t realize is science has now proven that alcohol has a negative affect on the development of young brains and bodies. And the younger one starts to drink alcohol, the more likely kids are to grow up with serious alcohol problems later in life.
Talk to your kids about the dangers of drinking before they are 21. Make sure that any party your child is going to attend has adult supervision, and that no alcohol will be served. And make sure you and every adult member of your family understands that if they serve alcohol to anyone under 21, they are breaking the law.
