Synthetic Marijuana Presents New Risks for Teens
That’s because it’s made national headlines, thanks to a teenage girl in Texas. Seventeen-year-old Emily Bauer from Cypress, Texas purchased fake marijuana from a gas station and within 15 minutes of using it, suffered violent hallucinations, uncontrolled bodily functions, and ultimately was put into a medically-induced coma by attending physicians. The Fox News story is frightening, but offers a great opportunity to have a talk with your teen about the dangers of synthetic drugs and the risks that come with taking them.
